Without a doubt, thanks to the recent events on Ukraine, I have really gotten a strong wish to do a little Adeptus Arbites force.
It will not be a whole army, but just a small force fit for a Kill Team.
With plenty of great 3rd party bits manufacturers (and a little green stuff), I hope to get them to look like mean police the Empire deserves. Although I still steer clear of the GW's official Arbites look, as I highly dislike their "Dreadd" style.

This topic will serve as a place to post WIP as well as finished pictures.

The first step in the project was supposed to serve as a "push" to get started.

For a while, I have had the wheeled "Hammer APC" from WarChimera, but I have never used it in any games. I simply bought it because I thought it looked badass.

After a round of re-priming and airbrushing, it became the first piece in the team.
Armed with a water cannon for crowd control, it uses custom rules, based on chimera ones, when playing in Heralds of Ruin Kill Team.

Of course, it can still be played as any other chimera, be it Imperial Guard or Inquisition.

One of the most important tasks when starting a new army or team is choosing the color scheme.
I would like my team to have more police-like scheme than the official Arbites.
Therefore, before starting painting the team, I would like to make a few test schemes. The requirement I have is that it must contain blue.

The first test scheme is: blue armor and headgear and dark grey/black clothes.
The figure itself is made from a mix of IG and SM bits as well as a head from Victoria Miniatures Penal conversion kit.

I like the scheme myself, but at the same time, it feels rather dark. For the next test figure, I will reverse the colors, painting the armor black and the clothes blue, much like the Ukranian Riot Police.

I would gladly accept any suggestions for a color scheme you might have, so please post them!

2nd paint scheme test, reversed.

Kaime

The second scheme looks alot better than the first :)

Black armor takes the highlights much more easily than the cloth.

Thanks for the feedback :)
Although after more feedback from other sources and a lot of thought, I decided to go with the first scheme after all.

Currently waiting on 3 orders to arrive:

- Wheels for Taurox
- Shotgun arms from Victoria
- Scions from GW

I feel that my progress is halted because of lack of these things.

In the meantime, I've made an album for inspirational photos. (Mostly from recent events in Ukraine).

Metheon

Have to agree with Kaime that the reversed colour scheme is the bomb but the first one do look brilliant too. Gonna follow this thread. :)

And I finally have progress!

After a mishap with wrong bits delivered, I have finally received all the bits I need to start producing a small Arbites kill team. These two models here are assembled out of bits of three different companies, GW included. Even all three materials as well: plastic, resin and metal.
There are more to come soon, enforcers as well as specialists. Next time I will post WIP pictures as well, so you can see some of the progress.

Wagner

Den er sateme flot!
