Eldar phantom titan - armourcast - (commission) - COMPLETE

Few month agoo my buddy @landbooster ask me to paint his super old eldar phantom titan armourcast, and of coure i accepted .
Here the initial state. The previous owner made a really good job into converting one foot make it grabbing,and statrted some free hand runes super precise and small. Sadly, i havnebt took pictures about that  .

The plan was to use few "POWA" colors, to keep a early 90ies feeling.
So decided for blue smoke/flame on the armour, suoer bling white trim and some part in bone color.
The straight leg was the first test.
The recipe was:
- black primer
- dark blue with airbrush
- then using a french curve  i start the first layer of flame in lighg blue/dark blue
- higlighted these flame with light blue/white
- a glaze of transparent blue, in an uneven layer, to create some depth
- repeat until im satisfied (or tired).

White is just a lot of thinned layer of cold white, nothing fancy.

Once found the right procedure, complete the legs was quite fast and enjoyable.

The torso was bit tricky , due to his weird shape

The face was missing the eyes, so I tried to make a pair with milliput. not super happy with the result , but still ok in the bigger picture

Base was decided for a lava base, with a wreck of Word Bearer spartan, to add some warm color to the minies.

The pipes was a real cellenge.
The material showed new holes after the primer. I repared it with milliput ans grinded 3 times. Everytime new holes appeared.

Getting tired of using just 3 colors, I choose to paint the weapons with green, purple anf reg glow

And here the final result. Picture as shitty as always, but take decent picture of a so huge model is not super easy.
