Wahammer 40.000 Masters League 2012 Kick Off!

WELCOME TO THE WARHAMMER 40.000 MASTERS LEAGUE 2012

The Warhammer 40.000 Masters League is now in its 3rd year and has had over a 100 players participating in it since its inception. The league is a great opportunity to meet other people who play Warhammer 40.000 and it combines the best elements of casual play – having lots of time to play the game and being able to play anywhere you want – with the best elements of competitive play – being able to learn from more experienced opponents and the excitement produced when following your progress in the event.

This year will be the last year played under the 5th edition rules, so we hope to make the event as fun and as great as possible, while we anticipate the upcoming rules.

The concept this year is: Simplicity! We are going with easy all-inclusive rules, and have brought with us the experience from previous leagues to, hopefully, make this league the best so far!

PRACTICAL INFORMATION ABOUT THE LEAGUE

How long does it last?: The league kicks off May 7th and ends August 13th.

Rulespack: Anybody interested in getting the complete rulespack, even if they do not participate in the league, can get it for free by sending an email to 40kmasters@gmail.com with your name and we will send it out to you as soon as possible.

Prizes: If you play all 6 games, you will get a 100 kr bonus deposited on your Battlebunker club account when the league is finished (after the last round has been played and all results are calculated).
? If you end up in the top half of the league (ie. If you have 20 players, this would mean you got to place yourself in the 10th position or upwards) you get a 100 kr bonus deposited on your Battlebunker account when the league is finished.
? The player to win first place will get their named engraved in Gold on the Shield of Champions. In addition, the participant will receive a Prize Certificate and 500 kr to be deposited on the participants Battlebunker account.
? The player to win second place will get their name engraved in Silver on the Shield of Champions. In addition, the participant will receive a Prize Certificate and 250 kr to be deposited on the participants Battlebunker account.
? The player to win third place will get their name engraved in Bronze on the Shield of Champions. In addition, the participant will receive a Prize Certificate and 100 kr to be deposited on the participants Battlebunker account.
? Best Painted Army will recieve a Prize Certificate and 250 kr to be deposited on the participants Battlebunker account.


How do you sign up?: Write an email to 40kMasters@gmail.com with your name, telephone number, and the Codex you use. Below is an example on the information we want in the mail:

DEADLINE: You have to sign up no later than April 30th!

Price to participate:

· It costs 300 danish kroner to participate.

· Payment can only be done in the following manner;

BONUS 1! All participants in the league will get a 20% discount on all products purchased while the league lasts. This discount is added to the participants Faraos Cigarer Battlebunker accounts and is only eligible on products purchased in relation to Miniature Wargaming (Figurspil), so you cannot use the bonus in the Faraos Cigarer Comic, Live-roleplay or Boardgame departments. This discount does not stack with other discounts or the normal 10% you get on your battlebunker account. This bonus can be used as soon as payment is made to participate in the league!

BONUS 2! For each of your friends you get to sign up for the Masters League - you and your friend will both recieve 50 kr each on your Battlebunker accounts! In order to recieve this bonus your friend must not be signed up already and you must both have paid to participate in the league by the deadline listed above. The 50 kr will be available for the participant and the friends he sign up at the end of the league after prizes have been given out. The league organizers will contact everybody who recieves the bonus and tell them when it is available.

Ligaen foregår på den måde at vi finder en modstander til dig og så finder du selv et sted og et tidspunkt at spille mod dem, man registrerer bare sine resultater over mail og så opdatere vi placeringerne efter hver kamp. Man har 2 uger til at spille sin kamp så man får go tid til at planlægge sine kampe samtidig med at arrangørerne har go tid til at opdatere placeringerne.

De forrige 3 år er ligaen blevet spillet i København området, men den kan sagtens udvides til andre steder bare der er villighed til at finde sammen mod sin modstander og spille sine kampe

Har updated datoerne for ligaen i første post! Desuden kan man nu få 20% i rabat på alt GW og tilbehør så snart man har betalt for at være med (før var det fra Liga start)! )
